Giving Back

We chose GIVING BACK as the theme for this year’s USAO Magazine because we see so many USAO alumni, students, faculty and staff active in their communities. This publication is not intended to be a comprehensive list, but is merely a sampling of the people and programs at USAO who encourage giving back.

For a little inspiration, meet the members of the USAO Alumni Hall of Fame at www.usao.edu/home/alumni/hall-fame-honorees-gallery. Most of these individuals were nominated expressly for their charitable or humanitarian efforts to better the lives of others.

What’s your “Giving Back” Story? From medical missions in South American jungles to urban soup kitchens, USAO alumni are giving back to society through compassion, courage and vision.
 
We want to hear from you.  Whether your “giving back” story involves a local charity for which you volunteer a few hours a month, or a 2-year commitment to the Peace Corps, we love sharing stories about the people who once called USAO “home.” Please feel free to submit stories about persons other than yourself too. We’ll get their approval before we publish anything about them.
